Seven years ago, in 2018, Steve and Jackie travelled to Mongolia, hoping, but failing, to see a Snow Leopard. In 2025 they returned to the Altai Mountains of that country in a bid to complete their “unfinished business”. Their earlier visit had been in September, but on this occasion it was in March, when the country was still largely in the grip of its winter season. This is the story of how they got on.
